Iranian film critic Hamed Soleimanzadeh has been appointed as a jury at the 44th Drama International Short Film Festival (DISFF) in Greece.

Soleimanzadeh, an Iranian university professor and researcher, was officially invited by the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) to join the jury members of the Greek festival along with French renowned film critic Jean-Max Mejean and Greek film critic Konstantinos Karderinis.

Soleimanzadeh will judge works for FIPRESCI Prize section of the Drama Short fest. The FIPRESCI stands for the French term Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique.

The long list goes on with the Seoul Guro Int’l Kids Film Festival in South Korea, the 17th Int’l Short Film Festival Detmold in Germany, the Kolibri Int’l Film Festival for Childhood and Youth in Bolivia, and Directors’ Fortnight and Critics’ Weeks sections of the 74th Cannes Film Festival.

The Drama International Short Film Festival aims to promote the art of cinema, and especially of the short film, in Greece and abroad.

Established in 1978, the event is the most important international short film festival in the country and is held every year in Drama.
